ACADEMICS
The Metamorphosis offers a complete and integrated preschool and grade school primary education. The Metamorphosis has also created an online distance learning system, The Cocoon, as a response to the challenges brought about by COVID-19.
Preschool
The preschool curriculum follows an integrated approach using developmentally appropriate activities and practices with literature as its core.
It puts emphasis on the formation of self-concept and self-worth and the development of basic concepts, skills and attitudes towards physical, emotional and social advancement. It also focuses on value formation.
The pre-school program is designed to provide children a dynamic and healthy learning environment where interactional skills are rich and activities are balanced in the development of both thinking and social skills. The program is built on the premise that children learn effectively on a natural and happy environment.
GRADE SCHOOL
The grade school curriculum focuses on knowledge, skills and value teaching.
Values education is integrated in all subject areas. The curriculum adapts the cooperative/collaborative teaching-learning approach. It has an Extensive English Program encompassing the listening, Reading, Comprehension, Speaking, and Writing Skills. It is likewise Intensive because the program brings out the best in each pupil and leads them to be good communicators.
Lessons in Araling Panlipunan, Music Arts and PE and EPP have been integrated. The ultimate goal is the formation of a law-abiding citizen, appreciative of his/her cultural heritage, future leader and a responsible and productive Filipino.
THE COCOON
The Cocoon is the Online Distance Learning (ODL) System of the Metamorphosis. This online education system is the school’s answer to the challenges brought about by the health crisis to the education of our learners.
With the use of an online learning platform, classes will be held through guided activities. This will be done mostly through asynchronous methods (learning online or offline at different times) with instructions using digital learning materials, readings, viewings, drills and exercises for knowledge inputs and skills mastery.
Synchronous methods (learning together online in the same platform) will also be used when necessary and when possible for live discussions, interaction and collaboration.
